Albert Hutchinson1 was born about 1838 in Northhampton, Fulton County, New York.25

Albert Hutchinson was listed as a 14 year old mail born New York  on the 1850 New York census. He was living in the house of Ephraim Finch, a 53 year old farmer and his wife Cynthia.1

He married Julia Harding on 14 Sep 1859 in Black Hawk, Iowa, United States.69

Albert Hutchinson was listed on the 1860 Iowa census as a 24 year old farmer born in New York. Albert was the head of the household. Also living in the household was 20 year old Julia Hutchinson, 16 year old Isabella Harding and 36 year old Loren Gilbert.10

On 12 Jul 1860, Gertrude Hutchinson was born.

On 9 Jun 1862, Albert G. Hutchinson was born.

Albert Hutchinson enlisted as a private in Company D of the 1st Regiment of the Iowa Cavalry Volunteers command by Captain Jinks.5,1116

He was mustered out of Company D 1st Regiment of the Iowa Cavalry on 31 Dec 1863 in Little Rock, Pulaski, Arkansas, United States.17

He  reenlisted on 1 Jan 1864 in Little Rock, Pulaski, Arkansas, United States.18

Albert was mustered in as a private in Iowa First Calvary Company D on 14 Mar 1864 in Sumner Township, Buchanan County Iowa.1820

He had 3rd installment bounty due withheld for being absent without leave from June 18, 1864 to June 30th, 1864.21

On 2 Mar 1865, William Henry Hutchinson was born.

He was discharged from the military on 15 Feb 1866 in Austin, Travis, Texas, United States.2,22

About 1867, Frederick Hutchinson was born.

Albert  purchased land being W 4 acres of E 6 1/2 acres N 1/2 SW NE S29 T91 R13 on 7 Dec 1869 in Bremer, Bremer, Iowa, United States.23

About 1869, Cary Hutchinson was born.

All Hutchinson was listed on the 1870 census in Jacskon Township, Bremer County, Iowa as a 37 year old farmer who was born in New Brunswick. Also living in the household was 35 year old Julia Hutchinson; 10 year old Gertrude Hutchinson; 8 year old Alice Hutchinson; 6 year old Millie Hutchinson; 3 year old Frederick Hutchinson and 1 year old Cary Hutchinson..24

On 6 May 1871, Winnie Mae Hutchinson was born.

He sold land being the W 4 acres of the East 6 1/2A N 1/2 SW 1/4 NE 1/4 S29 R13 T91 on 10 Jun 1871 in Bremer, Bremer, Iowa, United States.23

On 21 Sep 1874, Elnora Hutchinson was born.

On 29 Feb 1876, Guy Thomas Hutchinson was born.25

In Jul 1879, Francesca Hutchinson was born.

A Huchardson was listed as a 49 year old farmer born in New York on the 1880 census living in Douglas Township, Mitchell County, Iowa. Also listed in the household was a 40 year old wife  Julia Huchardson; a 15 year old son, William Hutchardson; a 9 year old daughter, Winnia Huchardson; a 7 yea old daughter, Ellnora Huchardson; a 4 year old son, Guy Huchardson, and a 10 month old son, Frances Huchardson.26

About 1884, Elvira Hutchinson was born.

Albert Hutchinson was listed on the 1885 Iowa census as a 55 year old male farmer. He was listed as having been born in New York. According to the census, Albert resided in the SE 1/4 NE 1/4 section 36, township 91, range 14. Also listed in the household were 44 year old Julie Hutchinson; 21 year old Albert Hutchinson; 20 year old William Hutchinson; 14 year old Winna Hutchinson; 11 year old Gene Hutchinson; 9 year old Frank Hutchinson; 5 year old Leula Hutchinson and 1 year old Ehura Hutchinson.27

Albert Hutchinson was listed on the 1890 veterans schedule living in Fishing River Township, Clay County, Missouri as a a veteran of Company D 1st Iowa Cavalry having served 1 year 3 months and 24 days.28

He received a military pension  on 16 Aug 1890 .29

Albt Hutchison was listed on the 1895 Doniphan County, Kansas census as a 65 year old white male born New York  who was honorably discharged from service in Iowa Company D Regiment 1. Albt’s birthplace was given as New York. According to the census, Albt moved to Kansas from Iowa.. Also listed in the household was Eliza Hutchison, a 27 year old female born in Missouri, Howard Noland, a 9 year old male born in Missouri, and Peter Noland, a 7 year old male born in Missouri.30

Albert died on 22 Jul 1896 at the age of 58 in Doniphan, Doniphan, Kansas, United States.2,4,31

He was buried at Elwood Cemetery in Elwood, Doniphan, Kansas, United States.4,32

 On 31 May 1897, he was dropped from the pension rolls by the U.S.Pension Agency in Topeka, Shawnee, Kansas, United States.33
